Camaraderie Cellars 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon (Columbia Valley (WA))

  • Cellar Selection
  1. $25
This is the winery’s first pure Cabernet since 1996. Despite its youth, it’s already a very complete wine, balanced and expressive, with pure, vivid cassis and plummy fruit. Focused and compact, it’s classic Washington Cab.  — P.G.  (12/31/2003)

Camaraderie Cellars 2003 Cabernet Franc (Washington)

  1. $25
A very fine cab Franc; smooth, polished and showing its varietal character. The coffee ground flavors, mixed with green tea tannins, give it a defining edge. It’s an earthiness that sets it apart from Cabernet Sauvignon. Inside you’ll find plenty of plush blueberry and plum fruit. Good winemaking.  — P.G.  (11/15/2006)

Camaraderie Cellars 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon (Washington)

  • Cellar Selection
  1. $22
This is a stylish effort, scented with cassis, blackberries, mint, licorice and coffee. Dark, tannic and delicious already, it is beginning to show complex layers of fruit flavor as it breathes. Definitely a wine to lay down for the next 8–10 years. Cellar Selection.  — P.G.  (6/1/2002)

Camaraderie Cellars 1998 Grace Red (Washington)

  • Cellar Selection
  1. $22
The blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 15% Cab Franc, and it adds up to a sweetly fruity wine limned with chocolatey new oak. Balanced and structured like Bordeaux, it has substantial tannins and dominant oak, and seems likely to continue to develop well for another 6-8 years. Cellar Selection.  — P.G.  (6/1/2002)

Camaraderie Cellars 2001 Grace Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

  1. $32
The winery’s Bordeaux blend (66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and 12% Cab Franc), it’s full, seamless and complete, with rich, satiny fruit layered into chocolatey oak. This is almost Napa-like, but with raspberry/cherry fruit that has the acid structure of Washington grapes.  — P.G.  (12/31/2003)

Camaraderie Cellars 2000 Sauvignon Blanc (Washington)

  • Best Buy
  1. $12
Good fruit, sourced from an excellent Red Mountain vineyard, starts things off right. The fresh nose is scented with hay, herb and sweet grass, and leads into a lovely wine with 25% barrel fermented semillon blended in for extra pizzazz. Best Buy.  — P.G.  (6/1/2002)

Camaraderie Cellars 2001 Merlot (Columbia Valley (WA))

  1. $25
Substantial black cherry fruit is married to big, chewy tannins, with more obvious oak flavors than the other Camaraderie wines. Juicy and big, with some heat in the finish.  — P.G.  (12/31/2003)

Camaraderie Cellars 2002 Sauvignon Blanc (Washington)

From Red Mountain fruit, this includes 25% barrel-fermented Sémillon in the blend. It’s a good, melony wine, accented with some unusual fennel notes.  — P.G.  (12/31/2003)
