Everything has come together in this polished, approachable wine. The tannins are brisk but sweetly ripe. Oak has been fully integrated, lending smoky vanilla to the cherry and licorice flavors. Cola and root beer at first, but after that the dense nose is a bit closed. Rich, warm blackberry flavors offer a touch of anise, which comes across almost like black licorice. The finish is all fruit, but with a driving, racy feel spurred on by healthy acidity.

Quite pale in color, a translucent garnet hue, this is a delicate, feminine wine, with an ethereal body of silk and satin. It’s not light in flavor, though, with raspberry, black cherry, oriental spices, and oaky-smoky vanillins. Polished, pretty and fully ripe.

Very good and savory, athough it’s a bit heavy for a Pinot Noir, with a soft, thick texture and ultraripe chocolate, cherry liqueur and cappuccino flavors. Who wouldn’t like that? But the wine could be crisper, more delicate and refined.
