On the infrequent occasions when Silvaner is good, it can be very good, as evidenced by this wine. Earthy, musky notes and spiced grapefruit on the nose translate into a medium-bodied mélange of pineapple and passion fruit on the palate, with a mineral edge to the crisp finish. Drink now.

Opens with a candied note, cut through with spice and apricot scents. There’s good intensity and fresh acidity in the mouth and an appealing final note of burnt orange peel. Serve as an apéritif. Drink now.
