Celestial Bay 2004 Shiraz (Margaret River)

  1. $25
This medium-bodied Shiraz features plenty of spicy complexity and creamy-soft tannins, making it ideal for current consumption. Cedar, vanilla and spice accent raspberry fruit and linger elegantly on the finish.  — J.C.  (8/1/2008)

Celestial Bay 2004 Cabernet Merlot (Margaret River)

  1. $25
Herbal notes open this expressive entry from Western Australia. Dense plum and prune notes on the crisp palate are supported by chunky tannins and lead toward a long, earthy finish. Give it 2–3 years to come together.  — W.E.  (2/1/2009)

Celestial Bay 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon (Margaret River)

Earth and violets dominate the subtle nose on this elegant bottling from Western Australia. Plums and forest floor notes infuse the juicy palate that shows little tannin and leads to a crisp finish of moderate length.  — W.E.  (2/1/2009)

Celestial Bay 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon (Margaret River)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $25
There's a greenish, overtly herbal edge to this wine's cassis aromas, but it does come across as less herbal on the palate, with flavors of fruit preserves outlined in tobacco, cedar and vanilla. The flavors are crisp without being overly tart, turning a bit chocolaty on the finish. Drink now-2012. Tasted twice, with consistent results.  — J.C.  (11/1/2008)

Celestial Bay 2007 Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc (Margaret River)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $25
The nose comes off as a bit tropical and overcooked with a just a few herbaceous undertones. The result is a nicely rounded palate that lacks intensity and peters out fast.  — W.E.  (2/1/2009)
