Chandon NV Etoile Rosé Sparkling (Sonoma-Napa)
-
$50
Based on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this luxe rosé bubbly is delicious to drink now. It’s likeable for the array of strawberry, orange and lime flavors, with that savory sparkling wine yeastiness, and the bubbles are smooth and refined. Will set off many different foods, but sushi is a definite hit.

Chandon NV L'Etoile Brut Sparkling (California)
-
$40
The refined texture recommends this brut, which is mainly Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a splash of Pinot Meunier. It’s an elegant wine, rich in citrus fruits, green apples, raspberries, smoke and creamy yeast, but it’s very young and aggressive. Needs time. Cellar through 2012.

Chandon NV Etoile Rosé Sparkling (Napa-Sonoma)
-
$50
Very fine, a smooth, silky wine with an elegant mousse, or quality of bubbles. It’s pretty full-bodied, with subtle raspberry, peach, vanilla and brioche flavors. Easily the most complex and interesting of Chandon’s lineup of sparklers.

Chandon NV Étoile Brut Sparkling (Sonoma-Napa)
-
$40
Made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a splash of Pinot Meunier, this bubbly is, in a word, delicious. It’s so easy to drink, you can’t put the glass down. Shows classic Champagne structure, with refined bubbles and brisk acidity. But the raspberry, strawberry, lime and apple flavors are pure California.

Chandon NV Étoile Rosé Sparkling (Napa-Sonoma)
-
$50
With a deep, shiny color of copper and peach blush, you can tell this sparkling wine will be somewhat full-bodied and rich. And it is. Made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, it’s a big, flamboyant bubbly, rich in raspberries, limes and yeast. Yet it retains the delicacy and elegance of a fine sparkling wine.
