Salty, even briny scents dominate, along with a slightly resinous character. In the mouth this is a flavorful, rather heavy wine which carries its weight and power in the dead center of the palate. Nothing elegant here, but it’s a good mouthful of fruit, finishing with an herbal-metallic note.  — P.G.  (12/15/2002)
