Chasing Venus 2008 Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough)

Price
$16
Chasing Venus is made in textbook Marlborough style, with aromas and flavors of grassy herbs laid over passion fruit and gooseberries. It’s medium in body, pleasantly soft and round in the mouth, just fades a bit rapidly on the finish.

Chasing Venus 2009 Pinot Gris (Marlborough)
Price
$16
Pretty typical New Zealand Pinot Gris, featuring a fair bit of residual sweetness. There’s plenty of weight and density in the mouth, but less intensity of flavor and aroma, only hinting at almond, honey and melon.

Chasing Venus 2008 Pinot Gris (Marlborough)
Online Exclusive
Price
$16
This wine starts off showing one of Pinot Gris’ less admirable qualities—its often neutral aromas. Hints of citrus and apple eventually come through on the palate, finishing simple, dry and fresh. This crisp, neutral white should prove versatile at the table, even if it doesn’t steal the limelight.
