Château Beau-Séjour Bécot 2009 Red (Saint-Emilion)
Price
$75
Minty new wood aromas on a wine that shows both great tannins and sweet wood. The fruit is still to show, but promises fresh plum flavors that will be delicious and juicy. Ripe, concentrated wine.

Château Beau-Séjour Bécot 2010 Barrel sample Red (Saint-Emilion)

93-95 Very minty character, a wine that shows polished wood, black currant and very perfumed fruits. It has a definite style to it, the tannins subdued by the very mint and eucalypt character.

Château Beau-Séjour Bécot 2008 Barrel sample Red (Saint-Emilion)

93-85 Barrel sample. Mint and eucalyptus aromas are the hallmark of this tensely tannic wine, which relies on finely polished new wood as well as blackcurrant flavors. It is very dry, with a hard edge, but the potential balance is there.

Château Beau-Séjour Bécot 2006 Red (Saint-Emilion)
Price
$56
Although it begins with austerity, its acidity and tannins dominant, the palate opens beyond its youthfulness after a few moments. It becomes dark and powerful, certainly still dryly tannic, but the fruit is generous, and the final taste is of beautiful, ripe fruits.

Château Beau-Séjour Bécot 2007 Red (Saint-Emilion)

With plenty of new wood, the wine has a velvet character, smooth and round. Only gradually does a plum skin, bitter chocolate element come in, giving structure and weight. This is a wine that should age well.

Château Beau-Séjour Bécot 2011 Barrel Sample Red (Saint-Emilion)

92-94. Barrel sample. Mint flavors make the initial impression, with its fruit buried deep in the concentrated structure. Wood tannins dominate this polished wine, but its finish shows a juicy character.
