Château Bel Air Perponcher 2008 Réserve White (Bordeaux Blanc)

Certainly with herbaceous character, this wine also has more depths of flavor than the simple fruity surface. There is a core of green fruit skin tannins giving the wine a fine structure. There are fine kiwi, even lychee spice, flavors and the wine ends fruity, fresh, yet rounded and concentrated.  — R.V.  (7/1/2009)

Château Bel Air Perponcher 2005 Réserve Red

  1. $17
Ripe, pure fruit flavors follow spice and smoke aromas. This is a finely balanced wine, with excellent acidity as well as some dark, firm tannins. The red fruits are topped with some new wood spice and creaminess.  — R.V.  (6/1/2008)
