Made entirely from Grenache Blanc and fortified to 16% alcohol, this is an intriguing dessert wine. After aging in barrel for three years, it’s taken on some nutty overtones, yet still retains a perfumed quality and orange-citrus flavors. Probably best with cheeses or on its own.

Take a sniff and you’ll get blueberry and graham crackers along with mineral. The mouth is pure and expressive, with size and power. The flavor profile is mostly black plums with supporting oak, and the finish is dry and rewarding. Although the wine leans a bit toward the syrupy and heavy side, it holds the line of balance just enough to qualify as a sure winner…
