Château Ducru Beaucaillou 2010 Red (Saint-Julien)
A grand wine, it has great ripeness and richness, majestic in its structure and upright character. It is concentrated, perfumed and opulent. The style of Ducru Beaucaillou is both generous and powerful, and obviously ageworthy.

94-96 Barrel sample. Huge blackcurrant fruits dominate a wine that is powerful and showing very ripe. There are flavors of smoky, balanced tannins, bitter cherries, black figs. As all the great wines in 2005, it finishes with a delicious lift of acidity.
Château Ducru Beaucaillou 2008 Red (Saint-Julien)
Chocolate, coffee and sweet plum notes give this wine great richness. It has wood that needs time to integrate, although the main character is beautiful, velvet-textured, ripe fruit and plenty of sweet tannins.
Château Ducru Beaucaillou 2008 Barrel sample Red (Saint-Julien)
93-95 Barrel sample. This is very rich, very ripe, maybe even too much, but the fruit is certainly inviting. The tannin is lost in the welter of ripe fruits, that give a jammy, concentrated character. Only at the end does a chewy aspect emerge.
