Château Duhart-Milon 2009 Barrel sample Red (Pauillac)

  • Online Exclusive
92-94 Barrel sample. A rounded wine, its tannins submerged into the ripe fruits. It feels soft, and there is just a bite of alcohol. The structure is soft, generous, opulent.  — R.V.  (8/9/2010)

Château Duhart-Milon 2006 Red (Pauillac)

  • Cellar Selection
The character of this wine, a straight line of tannins and black currant fruit flavors, is the model of a classic Pauillac. It has all the structure as well as some austerity and severity at this stage in its development. But the fruit texture is rich enough, dried fruits and spice followed by licorice and bitter chocolate. Age for five years at least.  — R.V.  (3/1/2009)

Château Duhart-Milon 2010 Barrel sample Red (Pauillac)

91-93 There is a certain toughness her. The dense and firm character gives a solid, textured wine, packed with acidity. Foursquare and chunky.  — R.V.  (6/25/2011)

91-93. Barrel sample. Rich, spicy and dense, this wine shows a serious side. It has power and concentration, and the wood offers dryness as well as spice. Its fruit seems to be a separate layer at this stage.  — R.V.  (4/4/2012)

Château Duhart-Milon 2008 Barrel sample Red (Pauillac)

  • Online Exclusive
91-93 Barrel sample. Structured and juicy at the same time, this is a fragrantly fruity wine. It is rich, but with intense freshness as well. The final taste brings in a more firm, dark texture.  — R.V.  (12/31/2009)

Château Duhart-Milon 2008 Red (Pauillac)

With it cellars in a back street of Pauillac, this wine is often overlooked. But with the same winemaking team as Lafite, it represents a serious wine, solid, chunky, containing delicious fruit. The wood is noticeable at present, but will certainly mingle effortlessly in a few years.  — R.V.  (4/1/2011)

Château Duhart-Milon 2004 Red (Pauillac)

Often outshone alongside its stablemate, Lafite, Duhart-Milon seems to be coming into its own. It is rich and polished, dominated by new wood and soft, ripe fruit. The flavors are black currant, more jelly than fruit, but the power is also here, coming with the tannins and the intense, fresh acidity.  — R.V.  (6/1/2007)

Château Duhart-Milon 2005 Red (Pauillac)

Initially, it seems somewhat foursquare, with sharp corners, but that is from its youth, and with the black plum fruit flavors, there is plenty of ripeness and balance to come yet.  — R.V.  (6/1/2008)
