Château la Fleur-Pétrus 2009 Red (Pomerol)
Just across the road from Pétrus, la Fleur-Pétrus shares some of the same intensity. There is great fruit here, rounded and powerful with the ripest character. It is open, generous, ready to drink. The tannins lead into the purest acidity, letting the fruit sing.

93-95 Power and tannins on a wine that has initial severity. It shows a black plum skin texture. Very solid and dense.

Château la Fleur-Pétrus 2005 Red (Pomerol)
Initially, this seems soft and superripe. But the acidity that shows through balances the black cherry jam flavors, and the touch of mint gives a delicious edge. The aftertaste brings back juicy, ripe fruit.

Château la Fleur-Pétrus 2000 Red (Pomerol)

This is a wonderful, dense wine, very concentrated, very intensely flavored. At this stage of its development, it is the opulence which is most evident, but there are already hints that it will show pure fruit alongside sweet tannins, and will develop complexity.

93-95 Barrel sample. There is great weight here, a wine that is dark and dense, packed with superb dusty tannins. Solid and with a firm core, but also opulent.

A powerful, chocolate- and berry fruit-flavored wine, powered by ripe tannins and juicy acidity. It has a solid foundation of tannins, on which is built a rich edifice of fruit.

Château la Fleur-Pétrus 2004 Red (Pomerol)

a superb wine this is going to be. It is rich, elegant, poised, with its super-ripe, but still fresh, berry fruit flavors exhibiting much of the richness of Merlot when it has been ripened slowly and surely. While this has less intensity than its neighbor of Château Pétrus, the Cabernet Franc in the blend gives it intriguing perfumes.
