Château La Tour Figeac 2000 Red (Saint-Emilion)
Cellar Selection
This is an impressive wine from a great Bordeaux year. It is beginning to develop its tannins and the huge, pure, rich, black fruit is coming up. But with its acidity, its layers of wood flavors and its structure, this is a wine which has years ahead of it. Just don’t drink it yet, however tempting that may be.

Château La Tour Figeac 2008 Red (Saint-Emilion)
With its big, ripe chocolate, raising and dark plums flavors, this is a deliciously perfumed wine, its tannins a firm motif around the rich fruit. At the end, it exhibits the freshness of the year.

92-94 Barrel sample. A dense wine, very rich and concentrated, the Cabernet Franc tannins giving bitter chocolate and dark structure. Meantime, the fruit is ripe, sweet, packed with blackberry flavors.

Château La Tour Figeac 2005 Red (Saint-Emilion)
Very straight, firm, a wine that seems to be developing slowly. The blackberry fruits are impressive, rich and pure, and the tannins form a dense core of darkness. The wood is currently showing too strongly, but the fruit will certainly open out in a year or so. An impressive wine, but it needs time.
