Château Labegorce Margaux 2009 Barrel sample Red (Margaux)
Online Exclusive
94-96 Barrel sample. Delicious smoky aromas followed by ripe and sweet fruit that is in great balance with the tannins. There seems plenty of potential here.

Château Labegorce Margaux 2005 Red (Margaux)

New wood, sweet fruit, blackberry and plum skin flavors are all here in this round, ripe wine, with its soft, dusty tannins and delicious fresh acidity. This property has certainly joined the big league in Margaux.

Château Labegorce Margaux 2005 Barrel sample Red (Margaux)
Online Exclusive
92-94 Barrel sample. Rich, ripe, elegant fruit is balanced with spice, ripe tannins and some new wood. For a young wine, this is already well balanced, but that's a positive, considering the density of the flavors.

Château Labegorce Margaux 2004 Red (Margaux)
Editors' Choice
This château has seen a big investment in recent years and it has paid off. Despite its modern, polished style evidenced by a generous use of new wood, it retains the proper charm of a Margaux, with the fruit floating elegantly over the wood and the tannins.

Château Labegorce Margaux 2008 Red (Margaux)
This wine is spicy from new wood with ripe, black plum flavors and a polished feel to it. The dark tannins give a powerful structure, well integrated with the sweet fruit.

Château Labegorce Margaux 2003 Red (Margaux)
Cellar Selection
This is a wine that needs time. It has been made with firm tannins and some toasty wood over the ripe fruit of 2003, but at this stage, it is more about structure than opulence. That said, though, this is going to be a very fine wine in about five years. It is a powerful expression of the year, and if drunk now, should be decanted.

Château Labegorce Margaux 2008 Barrel sample Red (Margaux)
Online Exclusive
90-92 Barrel sample. Firmly in the tannic arena, the wine is initially dark and tight. But there is fruit underneath, blackberry and redcurrants, coming through in the final acidity.
