Château Mercier 2005 Cuvée Prestige Red (Côtes de Bourg)
Aromas of black fruit are followed by some toasty wood. The palate is wood-dominated, with dry tannins smothering what is going to be some ripe blackberry and damson flavors. The structure is all in place, as is the balance.
