New-wood flavors abound in this firmly structured, dry wine. With its tannins at the fore, plus its heavy toast and sweet-tasting black-fruit flavors, it has weight and density. This is likely to age well over 3–4 years.

From a large estate on the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux, this wine is powered by wood as much as fruit. However, the perfumed black fruits will develop to give a good balance, the acidity cutting in to give a fresher finish.
