This year there is considerable restraint in what is normally an immensely opulent wine: it is elegant, rather than having a no-holds-barred attitude, that will make this wine a classic.

If not the best, then one of the best kosher wines we’ve ever tasted, with smoke, cedar and meat aromas nicely balanced by plummy, chocolaty fruit. A creamy mouthfeel and smooth, easy finish makes it a delight to drink, but consume this Merlot-based wine over the near term. Imported by Royal Wine Corporation.
