Cims de Porrera 2001 Classic Red (Priorat)
Editors' Choice
Price
$98
A beauty that represents Priorat in its most complete form. Meaty and savage at first, Cims is a terroir wine of the first order. Still, it’s polished, with a soft, smooth texture and impressive cherry, cola, spice and vanilla flavors. Coffee and mocha on the finish seal the deal. Made by Sara Pérez of Mas Martinet. Imported by Multiple Importers.

Cims de Porrera 2007 Solanes Red (Priorat)
Online Exclusive
Price
$29
Oaky on first take, then earthy and weighty, with black fruit aromas and minerally notes. Feels tight initially, but with air it softens and soon come flavors of thyme, herbal berry and chocolate. Crisp and nicely balanced, with a solid finish. Almost what you’d call a value Priorat.

Cims de Porrera 2003 Solanes Red (Priorat)
Price
$29
On the cusp of unbridled excellence, but since it’s Cims’ second wine it has its limitations. It’s a bit woody and needs to broaden out with time in bottle, but even now the licorice, mineral and ripe plum/prune flavors are delightful. And the oak-driven finish of mocha and coffee seals the package.
