Cirrus 2006 Syrah (Stellenbosch)
Price
$58
Like most of Ernie Els’ wines, this Syrah has a sophisticated but assertive character. Black fruit, pepper and vanilla on the nose leads into mouthfilling, fruity flavors with a bright, cheerful edge. Good structure and a long, spicy finish. A no-brainer hit for an elegant occasion.

Cirrus 2005 Syrah (Coastal Region)
Price
$58
A collboration between Ernie Els, Jean Englebrecht, and Californian Silver Oak Cellars owner Ray Duncan, this South African Shiraz contains a touch of Viognier, which lends a lovely floral component to the nose. On the palate, there’s blackberry and plum with a gentle spiciness. Unique and velvety, the wine displays the clean minerality that typifies South African wines.

Cirrus 2004 Syrah (Coastal Region)
Online Exclusive
Price
$58
The touch of Viognier (6 %)adds extra character to this rich Syrah, which is lead by white pepper on the nose and assertive, floral aromatics. Flavors of violet, plum and dark berry on the palate are big, but the overall character is balanced.
