Clos Nardian 2003 White (Bordeaux)

  1. $100
Produced by Jonathan Maltus, who also makes the superstar Saint-Emilion wine, Le Dôme, this is a beautifully crafted wine that brings together tropical fruits, flavors of quince and creamy vanilla. There is some good acidity, despite the hot year, which brings everything into balance.  — R.V.  (6/1/2005)

Clos Nardian 2004 White (Bordeaux Blanc)

  • Online Exclusive
A low-production, low-yield white from a vineyard in the Entre-deux-Mers region of Bordeaux. The result tastes more like a Pessac-Léognan, with its rich, creamy apple and pear flavors, its new wood and its concentration. Great acidity provides the essential backbone to this rich wine.  — R.V.  (6/1/2007)

Clos Nardian 2005 White (Bordeaux Blanc)

  1. $90
Toasty, creamy, almost Burgundian in its richness, this wood and tropical fruit dominated wine is rich and full, but has also managed to preserve freshness. Alongside the acidity, there is concentration, and a lively twist of green herbs.  — R.V.  (6/1/2008)

Clos Nardian 2006 White (Bordeaux Blanc)

  1. $83
With its flavor that edges toward oxidative, this is the antithesis of easy, fruity white Bordeaux. That makes it an edgy, exciting wine, with spice, ginger and lychee flavors adding to the caramel wood over green plums.  — R.V.  (3/1/2009)
