Located within the appellations of the Yakima and Columbia Valley, Covey Run Winery has been producing value wine since 1982. Covey Run Vineyards are protected by the Cascade Mountain Range which provides a high altitude desert climate where grapes can fully ripen. Covey Run’s main vineyard for their red varietal plantings is Alder Ridge while the Oasis Vineyard is home to the majority of Covey Run’s white wines, specifically Chardonnay and Riesling. While the majority of Covey Run wines are made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, they are also experimenting with newer plantings of Viognier, Barbera, Zinfandel, Mourvedre and Roussanne. The Covey Run Quail Series offers an affordable option for consumers while their Columbia Valley Reserve line tends to receive higher accolades and carry a bit of a higher price tag according to our Covey Run ratings. Covey Run Winery also sponsors The Covey Run, a race benefiting uncompensated care at Seattle Children's Hospital.
