A little wheaty and creamy, but also pleasantly warm, yeasty and toasty. The palate settles quickly on waxy apple and lemon, while the feel is sort of baked and a touch soft. Cider and sweet-spice notes help the finish along. Drink soon.

Cristalino is always a solid go-to Cava. This brut is round, slightly yeasty and shows citrus aromas that veer toward lemon-lime. The palate is healthy and clean, with a narrow set of citrus and apple flavors. Fairly full and long on the finish, which makes the whole package more than worthwhile given the cost.

Yellow in color and heavy on the nose. Toast is the lead aroma, and with that there’s some caramel and peanut butter. Dry and lean in the mouth, with lemon and grapefruit notes. Still, it has class and style to it; not a dullard. Fairly unique. Imported by CIV/USA.

Aromas of apple are sweetened by hints of toffee and caramel. The fruit on the palate is bright enough, albeit sweet: the apple, pear and peach flavors are ripe. Finishes lively yet still a tad bit creamy. Stylish for the price.

Almost red in color, with bright but reduced strawberry and cherry aromas. The palate bursts with the flavor of raspberry sorbet, and the feel is smooth and easy. Not a complex wine, but a fun one if you like some red-fruit sweetness.

If you like a toasty, dry bubbly, Cristalino is a nice choice given the affordable price. Burnt bread notes mix with vanilla liqueur and green apples on the nose. The palate is bracingly dry and crisp, with lemon and petrol notes. The bead is aggressive, but the back palate nice nad the finish dry, with dusty cinnamon apple notes.
