Cueva de las Manos 2006 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Luján de Cuyo)
-
$15
Spirited and young upon opening, with jammy red-fruit aromas. It keeps a slightly candied character across the palate and onto the finish, with mocha, pepper and raisin flavors. In the end it is plenty ripe, with medium tannins and a solid structure. Not complex, world-class Cabernet but it more than does the trick.

Cueva de las Manos 2007 Old Vine Reserve Bonarda (Luján de Cuyo)
-
$15
A nice, colorful, jammy wine with tons of raspberry and blackberry essence. It’s very fruity and jumpy, with a rubbery, bouncy mouthfeel that supports honest but mild tannins. Not terribly exciting, but it delivers exactly what it should: color, fruit and spunk.

Cueva de las Manos 2010 Reserve Old Vine Bonarda (Mendoza)

$15
Fruity up front, with cherry cough drop, smoke, rubber and black plum aromas. Feels forward but resiny and creamy, with cocoa, vanilla, sawdust, plum and berry flavors. Juicy but drying and acidic late, with a lasting woody impression.
