Domaine Beaumont 2005 Saint Pierre Aux Liens Rosé (Lirac)
Pale rosé in color, with a hint of copper. Aromas are striking, like fresh apples and limes. Can a Rhône rosé be Riesling-ish? This one is certainly fresh and floral, ending on a peppery, herbal note. Crisp and dry.

Domaine Beaumont 2004 Saint Pierre Aux Liens Red (Lirac)
There’s rich fruit here, but it’s covered by a thick veneer of cedary oak that needs time to better integrate. In the southern Rhône, where so much elevage is still based on cement, this wine is a bit jarring. But it’s still very good, just in a slightly different idiom.

Domaine Beaumont 2005 Saint Pierre Aux Liens White (Lirac)
A relatively light-bodied Lirac blanc that comes across as crisp and clean. Simple and citrusy, it lacks the ripeness and expansive mouthfeel of the best examples. Would be fine as an apéritif.
