This unique wine from Corsica is aromatic, with very ripe fruit (orange, even apricot) aromas. Similar flavors follow on the palate, but the light-mid weight wine is (attractively) drier than expected. Finishes with good length and enough slightly drying tannins to suggest it will last a year or two. A good foil for Mediterranean seafood dishes.

Plenty of barnyard-earth aromas, plus spices and tree bark, on the nose—a good thing—but the palate and finish shows nothing but wood and wood-derived flavors
