This is darker and richer than the domaine's Les Terres Jaunes bottling, but also less precisely perfumed. Creamy black cherry fruit washes across the palate in waves carried by supple tannins. What a lovely mélange of cherry and black pepper scents this wine offers. It's like the crushed fresh fruit has been macerated in a glass with several turns of the peppermill.
