Lifted and layered nose of spicy cherry-berry jam, cinnamon, clove, savory gamy notes, sweet sausage and black olive. Full-bodied and concentrated with ripe taut tannins, and a smooth, yet lively texture. Packed with bright jammy plummy black fruit, pepper, leather and dried spices. Very long, velvety, persistent finish.

Oaked, but reasonably so, marrying crisp cherry fruit with cedary notes. Medium-weight, very drinkable, just a bit drying on the finish. Get some steak or burgers, fire up the grill and drink this wine over the near term.

Already seems a bit oxidized, with hints of almond and chestnut. Dried fruit flavors on the palate.
