Domaine Pouillon 2008 Deux White (Columbia Valley (WA))

  1. $18
Spicy and forward, with penetrating aromas of citrus oil, rind and beeswax. It just borders on volatile, but that also highlights the lemony, pineapple-flavored fruit. Sharp and assertive, this is a wine that will profit from a richly sauced fish or pasta accompaniment.  — P.G.  (8/1/2010)

Domaine Pouillon 2008 Blanc du Moulin White (Horse Heaven Hills)

  1. $17
The Roussanne really shines in the blend, offering rich, ripe, soft, seductive aromas of peaches and apricots, then folding into a broad midpalate with no rough edges. There is a definite peaches-and-cream feel to the midpalate, and that creamy flavor and texture runs right through a gentle finish.  — P.G.  (8/1/2010)

Domaine Pouillon 2006 Cuvée en Amont Red Wine (Horse Heaven Hills)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $24
This 50/50 Syrah/Cabernet blend is based on a country wine from Les Baux de Provence. It’s dry and dusty, with flavors of earth and bark and dried herb flavors. A country wine indeed.  — P.G.  (9/1/2009)

Domaine Pouillon 2007 Barrel Select Cabernet Sauvignon (Columbia Valley (WA))

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $35
A menthol/eucalyptus note shoots through the aroma of this pleasant Cabernet. It shows quickly maturing flavors of plum and pie cherry, an easy-drinking softness throughout the mid-palate, and just a hint of heat in the finish.  — P.G.  (8/1/2010)

Domaine Pouillon 2008 Merlot (Horse Heaven Hills)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $28
Soft scents suggest berry pastry, and the color is already showing some early oxidation, confirmed by the rather mature flavor profile. This is ready to drink, with strawberry fruit, very soft tannins, and some sharp acidity at the very end.  — P.G.  (8/1/2010)

Domaine Pouillon 2007 Black Dot Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $18
This spicy and dusty Rhône-Ital blend comes with a little bit of everything: 40% Syrah, 38% Grenache, 7% Mourvèdre, 7% Primitivo, 4% Counoise, 2% Cinsault, 2% Barbera. Not too surprisingly, it lacks a bit of focus, but it’s a good pizza wine, just a little diffuse.  — P.G.  (9/1/2009)

Domaine Pouillon NV Black Dot Red (Horse Heaven Hills)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $19
This is another soft, mature red wine from this Columbia Gorge winery, but without the weight or definition of the Merlot and the Cabernet. It’s simple and light, and quickly thins out in the mouth.  — P.G.  (8/1/2010)
