This textbook Gewurz opens with aromas of gingerbread, ripe peaches, and other white and yellow stone fruits. It’s quite luscious and full-bodied in the mouth, with sprightly, peppery acidity. Finishes with a trace of sweetness. Yummy.

Pungent but scattered aromas lead to spicy melon and banana flavors. In terms of feel, it’s soft and a touch lazy on the palate. It doesn’t hold up to heavy scrutiny.

Light and a bit more simple than the other Schlumberger wines, there’s talc and lychee flavors on the palate and chalk/mineral notes on the finish. Smells like roses and apricots. Fleur is made from grapes of young grand cru vines.

Soft, verging on flabby, with decent honey and pear flavors that finish without much lift or vibrancy. Good, but nothing more. Imported by Maisons Marques & Domaines USA.
