Domenichelli 2005 Magnificent 7 Petite Sirah (Mendocino County)
-
$42
A near perfect example of coastal Petite Sirah. Shows the variety’s generosity of fruit, firm tannins, dryness and general complexity, without too much alcohol. Delicious in blackberries, cherries, bacon, cinnamon, pepper and sandalwood, with a very long, spicy finish. Should age for many years, but best soon for its freshness.

Domenichelli 2006 Magnificent 7 Petite Sirah (Mendocino County)
-
$38
Shows a rustic and extracted personality, with an explosion of berries, cherries, currants, tobacco, mocha, black pepper and sweet smoky sandalwood. This bold wine is very tannic and high in alcohol. It’s at its best now and for the next few years.
