Eden Canyon 2003 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles)

  1. $30
This is quite a good Cabernet. It’s from the eastern part of Paso Robles, grown at 1,800 feet of elevation, which modulates the heat. While it shows very ripe Cabernet flavor, it possesses a good acid-tannin structure.  — S.H.  (12/31/2006)

Eden Canyon 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles)

  1. $25
Luscious and soft, with chocolaty blackberry, cassis and cherry flavors. Drinks dry and elegant, with under 14% alcohol. A very nice wine, from California’s first Filipino-American winery.  — S.H.  (12/31/2006)

Eden Canyon 2005 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles)

  1. $44
Tough and gritty in the mouth, with soft acids and edgy tannins, this Cab is showing oak-influenced flavors of black currants and ripe blackberries. Relatively low in alcohol, it has a firm, dry finish. Shows greater structure than many other Paso Robles Cabs.  — S.H.  (11/1/2008)

Eden Canyon 2005 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles)

  1. $34
Not showing much succulence right now, but firm and sturdy, in keeping with the relatively cool vintage. There’s green, minty taste alongside the berry, cherry and anise flavors. Could develop and soften with a year or so in the bottle.  — S.H.  (11/1/2008)

Eden Canyon 2005 Jolie Cabernet Sauvignon-Petit Verdot Red (Paso Robles)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $24
Not your usual Paso Robles Cab, with its bite of green pepper and citrusy acids. The low alcohol, only 13%, suggests early picking, in order to achieve a Bordeaux style. But the wine really needs more fruity ripeness to satisfy.  — S.H.  (11/1/2008)
