This is a youthful wine that’s a bit rough right now. It starts out with bacon and tar-like aromas before shifting into a mouthful of cherry fruit. The wine kicks off with raisin and lemon pith notes. Next come sweet but off-kilter flavors of prune, boysenberry and sugar beet. The finish is packed in tight, but the core is a bit sour.
