A solid Chardonnay that will please fans of well-ripened fruit, creamy textures, and accents of vanilla and smoke. The finish is long, clean and distinctive.

Simple, fruity, dry, and, yes, oaky, with a note of smoky char and vanilla from beginning to end. The flavors are of peaches, apples and dried herbs.

There is indeed some barrel-fermented character here, including vanilla, smoky aromas and a creamy texture. It’s modestly flavored with apples and peaches.

Nice and dry, with clean, crisp acidity, but the main problem is a lack of flavor. Tastes very thin and stripped, with watery orange and green apple fruit. Last year’s bottling seemed richer.

Soft and easy to drink, with pronounced fruity-spicy flavors and a solid dose of smoky oak. Quite sweet and soda-like, with a sugary finish.
