Garciarevalo 2006 Tres Olmos Verdejo (Rueda)

  1. $17
Fine Verdejo is more elusive than one might think. And Tres Olmos is that rare wine that smells great, tastes just right, and lingers for a long time on your teased and tested palate. Almond, pear and citrus aromas smartly give way to a smooth wave of blended citrus fruits. The finish is long and confident. Drink now.  — M.S.  (6/1/2008)

Garciarevalo 2009 Tres Olmos Verdejo (Rueda)

Not all that pointed on the nose, but shows good depth and peak maturity in the mouth. The palate is fleshy and dry, with melon and peach flavors and just enough acidity to keep it lively. Finishes dry and clean, with a spot of pithy bitterness that’s not unusual for Verdejo. Nice but definitely drink soon.  — M.S.  (7/1/2011)

Light and floral on the nose, and medium in intensity and acidity. Flavors of apple, green melon and citrus are clean and crisp, and overall the wine is a model of freshness. Drink it sooner rather than later; it’s a touch on the soft side.  — M.S.  (8/1/2007)
