Soft, ripe cherry and velvety tones of spice and nutmeg open the bouquet of this balanced Barolo from the powerful 2007 vintage. The wine shows concentration and power with lingering tones of chocolate, espresso and cured meat over a solid structure.

Modern, but not excessively so, Germano’s Barolo Cerretta combines cedar and vanilla seamlesssly with supple black cherry fruit. Long on the finish, the ripe tannins provide a rich, chewy texture. Drink 2005–2015.

This is a straightforward and genuine Barolo with deep layers of bright fruit, spice and mineral packaged seamlessly together as a whole. In the mouth, the wine is clean and elegant with dry, finely textured tannins.
