Dark plum fruit with cedar, toast, slight meaty notes and an herb accent comprise an attractive package. It turns a touch prickly and metallic on the finish, but not enough to turn off our tasters to this dependable quaff.

Straightforward and enjoyable, a no-brainer for a Tuesday in front of the TV. Aromas are of meat, blackberry and talc, while the palate deals tangy plum and cherry fruit, with overtones of pulpy wood.

A simple, lemony style that would work best with shellfish but has just enough pear and quince fruit to lend it flesh. Finishes tart and clean.

Thin aromas of cranberry, meat, coffee and toast are met in the mouth with thin, tart red fruit and green herbs. Finishes peppery, with a bit of acidity.

Smooth and lean in the mouth, this Cab is easily drinkable, but it’s probably nothing that you haven’t had already. It’s just blackberry, black cherry, peppery oak aromas, with black fruit on the palate and finish.
