Graffigna 2006 Grand Reserve Malbec (San Juan)
Price
$20
The wine has a dark, crusty top to the nose, with solid berry aromas under that. The palate is bright, zesty and features familiar plum and black cherry flavors. And the finish is straightforward but smooth. Stylish, with a little snap, crackle and pop.

Graffigna 2008 Centenario Reserve Malbec (San Juan)
Best Buy
Price
$13
A rock-solid Malbec with attractive yet simple aromas of black cherry and raspberry. The palate is juicy and fresh, but with enough body to provide a sense of richnes. Forward tasting, with pure berry flavors and a hint of chocolate. The perfect wine for pizza, pasta or grilled meats.

Graffigna 2007 Grand Reserve Malbec (San Juan)
Price
$20
This wine requires breathing time to show its true colors. Early on it’s reduced and cheesy, but soon it offers cleaner aromas of cola, berry and dark plum. The acidity is a bit high and sheering, but on the plus side it’s fresh and driving, with bright cherry and berry flavors along with ample oak.

Graffigna 2006 Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (San Juan)
Price
$20
Simple and easy to like, with cassis and cherry aromas along with a hint of earth, moss and leather. The palate is fresh, juicy and healthy, with clean, regular raspberry and ripe currant flavors. And the finish is long and mildly toasty. Good, presentable and ready to drink.

Graffigna 2007 Centenario Reserve Malbec (San Juan)
Price
$12
A simple, jammy-smelling wine with cherry aromas and a whiff of citrus too. Young, vibrant, acidic and juicy on the palate, with energetic but rubbery berry and plum flavors. Good yet basic wine overall, with heat on the finish.

Graffigna 2001 Don Santiago Syrah (San Juan)
Price
$18
Gets going with mocha, coffee and other oak-based aromas. The flavor profile is developed and fruity, emphasizing plum, blackberry and raspberry. Plenty of pop and a tight, mouth-filling finish make it lively.

Graffigna 2004 Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (San Juan)
Price
$20
Graffigna has shown improvement with its current set of releases. This Cab starts out dark, charred and full of blackberry aromas and flavors. It initially seems flashy and ready for anything. But the more you run it across your palate, the more the acidity rises up. And before long it almost seems scouring and jumpy. Imported by Pernod Ricard, USA.

Graffigna 2005 Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (San Juan)
Online Exclusive
Price
$20
Mint and heat on the nose give way to baked dark-fruit aromas and earth. The palate is warm, structured and solid, with solid raspberry and plum flavors. Slightly creamy and candied on the finish, with coconut from the barrel and a final blast of heat. Not a wine for aging; drink now with food.
