Greg Norman Estates 2006 Reserve Shiraz (Limestone Coast)

  1. $35
Enthusiast 100 2011 Score Chasers: NZ & AU 2011
A hugely oaky wine, but one that manages to taste awfully good nonetheless, with layers of vanilla and toast leading into a full-bodied, supple wine loaded with notes of maple syrup and brown sugar. Drink now.  — J.C.  (11/1/2011)

Greg Norman Estates 1998 Reserve Shiraz (McLaren Vale)

  1. $40
Full-on fruit on the palate (blackberry jam, and a host of berries) plus eucalyptus and vanilla. It’s big and rich in the mouth, with a medium-long finish that sings of eucalyptus and vanilla. It is what it is—big, fruity, alcoholic—and it’s pretty darned good at that.  — W.E.  (10/1/2003)

Greg Norman Estates NV Sparkling (Australia)

  1. $19
Traditional scents and aromas of hay and citrus blend with unexpected ones like durum flour, mango and apricot. Frothy on the palate, with brisk acidity and a slightly chalky medium-length finish. Overall, an even package that will age well.  — K.F.  (12/1/2002)

Greg Norman Estates 1999 Reserve Shiraz (South Eastern Australia)

  1. $40
This Shiraz has medium body and chalky-chewy tannins. A dried spice, or clove, note that shows on the nose comes around again to accent the palate’s bright, juicy plum fruit; brown sugar and caramel components are almost too hedonistic and rich, but toe the line nicely. The wine comes to a medium-long close, the chewy tannins hanging on after the flavor gives up.  — D.T.  (9/1/2004)

Greg Norman Estates 2001 Reserve Shiraz (Limestone Coast)

  1. $50
At seven years of age, this is a reasonably complex wine, well suited to pair with roasts. The ample oak is integrated with the fruit, yielding a mélange of nuances that include grilled meat, cedar, vanilla, dried spices, coffee, black olives, blackberries and tar. Drink now–2015.  — J.C.  (8/1/2008)

Greg Norman Estates NV Australian Sparkling (South Eastern Australia)

  • Editors' Choice
  1. $15
A medium-bodied, not-too-sweet sparkler with some slightly mature, mushroomy notes to go with scents of buttered saltines and a clean, fresh finish. A pleasant surprise worthy of your next country club gala.  — J.C.  (12/31/2008)

Greg Norman Estates 2002 Chardonnay (Victoria)

  1. $14
A solid wine with presence, not too big or overblown. The nose isn’t all that expressive—we found subtle nut and chalk notes—but the palate offers up plenty of sturdy pear fruit, with shakes of nutmeg and chalk. Lingers on the close, with more nut flavors.  — W.E.  (7/1/2004)

Greg Norman Estates 2008 Cabernet Merlot (Limestone Coast)

  • Editors' Choice
  1. $15
At only 7% Merlot, it’s unclear why it’s even mentioned on the label, especially since it seems to be so obviously Cabernet in style. Cassis and chocolate notes dominate this richly textured, full-bodied red. Drink now.  — J.C.  (5/1/2012)
