A delicious wine, soft and dry and easy to like. Shows layers of raspberries, cherries, tobacco, bacon, sandalwood, black pepper, cinnamon and other Asian spices, wrapped into smooth tannins.

Grey Stack 2006 Marie's Block Dry Stack Vineyard Syrah (Bennett Valley)
-
$38
Deliciously soft and a little sweet, with enormously ripe cherry, currant, chocolate, black pepper, lavender and sandalwood flavors. The alcohol is pretty high, but it sure is a pleasurable drink.

Grey Stack 2008 Rosemary's Block Dry Stack Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc (Bennett Valley)
-
$28
Nice and crisp, with a bite of acidity brightening the lemon, lime, pineapple, honeysuckle, vanilla and pepper spice flavors. Could be a touch drier, but it’s a sound Sauvignon Blanc.
