Grove Street 2008 Healdsburg Ridge Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma County)
Price
$28
Rich, savory and interesting to drink. In fact, it’s probably the best Grove Street Cabernet in years. Dry and fruity, it shows firm tannins bracing the blackberry and cherry flavors.

Grove Street 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)
Price
$50
The well-ripened black currant and jammy blackberry pie fruit is delicious, and the wine, at nearly 5 years, shows few traces of its age. Has the lush, ripe tannins that exemplify Napa. A minor quibble is a sharpness on the finish.

Grove Street 2004 Pinot Noir (Napa-Carneros)
Price
$18
You’ll find plenty of Pinot character in this dry, crisp wine. It shows cola, cherry, rhubarb and tea flavors and the elegantly silky mouthfeel that Carneros achieves with the variety. Drink now.

Grove Street 2009 Dijon Clone Block Chardonnay (Sonoma Valley)
Online Exclusive
Price
$22
This is an appealing Chardonnay. It’s a little sweet in apricot jam, peach, green apple, honey and buttered toast flavors, but the sweetness is balanced with crisp, citrusy acidity and a nice cut of minerality.

Grove Street 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma County)
Best Buy
Price
$10
Here’s a great value in Cabernet. It’s from a super vintage, and brims with well-ripened aromas and flavors of currants, blackberries, mocha and smoky oak. Drinks very dry, with smooth tannins and an opulent mouthfeel. Buy this by the case.

Grove Street 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon (Alexander Valley)
Price
$12
There’s real finesse and flavor in this soft, supple wine. It shows plush blackberry, cherry and herb flavors wrapped in rich but easy tannins. This is a decent price for a wine of this quality.

Grove Street 1998 Baker Syrah (California)
Best Buy
Price
$9
Aromas of bell pepper, hummus, blackberry jam, and a whiff of charcoal. The fruit hits the palate with the subtlety of a hammer; it’s superripe and sugary (although technically dry). Soft tannins make it velvety smooth. The only complaint is an earthy roughness. Best Buy.

Grove Street 2001 Chardonnay (Sonoma County)
Best Buy
Price
$7
Why break the bank for everyday occasions? This fruity, oaky Chard will do just fine. It’s clean, with the taste of peaches.
