Hacienda del Plata 2005 Mayoral Grande Reserve Malbec (Luján de Cuyo)

A touch of green is present on the bouquet, while cassis and raspberry aromas fill in the blanks. The palate is creamy and a touch sticky, with raspberry, plum and coconut flavors. A good wine with limitations; it’s smooth but unctuous, with a full mouthfeel and good, familiar flavors.

So woody at first you’d think you had entered a sawmill, but with time it settles down. Red berries, milk chocolate and wood spice work the palate, followed by lean fruit leftovers and vanilla.
