Fruity, rich and satisfying. Shows a mélange of pineapple, pear and peach flavors, with creamy vanilla and spice notes, brightened with crisp acidity. Could be a tad drier.

Happy Camper 2006 Chardonnay (California)

With citrus and floral flavors in addition to Chard’s usual pears and apples, this wine might be confused for a Pinot Grigio or even a leaner style of Viognier. However you slice it, it’s a dry, crisp, easy sipper, and a good buy at this price.

Happy Camper 2004 Merlot (California)

Price
$9
Decent price for a nice Merlot. It’s a little light on cherry-berry fruit, but balanced and clean, with polished tannins and crisp acidity to cut through beef, veal and pork.

Happy Camper 2005 Chardonnay (California)

Not the richest wine in history, but fruity enough and dry, this basic Chardonnay has a tease of citrus fruit and vanilla cream. It’s perfectly okay for that next big party where no one’s over-critical.

Gets the job done with modest tangerine, pineapple and cream flavors. Nice and crisp and dry, but it’s pretty thin.

Sweet and candied, with Life Saver flavors of cherries and blackberries. Lots of acidity, too. Pretty standard, but the price is okay.

This jammy, slightly sweet Cabernet has enough fruity flavors to satisfy. It brims with fruitstand blackberries, cherries and plums, and has a soft texture.
