This small, discrete Champagne house, owned by Freixenet of Cava fame, makes an equally understated nonvintage Brut. Ripe and finely balanced, it brings apple and pear flavors along with a touch of minerality and crisp acidity at the end.

Smells promising, with scents of toast, vanilla, soy and mushroom wafting from the glass, then delivers on that promise in a full-bodied, expansive way. Earth and mushroom flavors flow across the palate, balanced by fresh apple and citrus notes and a chalky texture. Drink now–2015.

A good value in Champagne, this nonvintage cuvée boasts delicate toast and citrus aromas followed up by tightly focused flavors of green apple, lemons and limes. It's very different from Abelé's vintage offering but delicious in a different way. Finishes with a crisp, youthful edge to its flavors.

A light-colored rosé, this is fresh, soft and fruity. It has attractive raspberry and flaked apple flavors, with well-integrated acidity. It makes a good apéritif style of Champagne with its gentle, warm aftertaste.
