Henri Goutorbe 2002 Grand Cru Brut Sparkling (Champagne)

  • Cellar Selection

A wine that impressively reflects the richness of the 2002 vintage, balancing white fruits, ripe acidity and a teasing touch of spice. It’s delicious now, but will certainly age over the next 10 years.

Henri Goutorbe 2005 Spécial Club Grand Cru Brut Sparkling (Champagne)

  1. $92

Goutorbe is a member of the Spécial Club grouping of grower producers, which tastes and approves each other’s special cuvée. This 2005, with its ripe fruits and the beginnings of bottle age, is a worthy member. It has delicious apple and white peach fruits, lively acidity and a texture that is moving towards toastiness. The wine is ready to drink.

Henri Goutorbe 2004 Spécial Club Grand Cru Brut Sparkling (Champagne)

  1. $85

This ripe and fruity style shows yellow fruit and citrus, producing a full-bodied wine. With its weight and richness, it is a delicious wine to drink now, but this blend also shows potential for bottle aging.

Henri Goutorbe NV Brut Rosé Grand Cru Sparkling (Champagne)

  1. $60

Very dry and rich, this is a taut, tense bottling of Goutorbe’s rosé. It has apple and red currant flavors, laced with intense acidity and a bright texture. With more bottle aging, it could be an apéritif wine. For now, it is best with food.

Henri Goutorbe NV Cuvée Prestige Premier Cru Sparkling (Champagne)

A wine with some rich maturity in its aromas, which goes right through the rounded, ripe palate. It has some power from the Pinot Noir element in its blend, with white fruit flavors and intensity. A mature wine, rich and satisfying, that’s good with food.

Henri Goutorbe NV Cuvée Prestige Premier Cru Brut Sparkling (Champagne)

  1. $36

With vineyards in Aÿ on the southern slopes of the Montagne de Reims, Goutorbe is well placed with grand and premier cru sites. This is a premier cru wine, concentrated and with bottle age.
