Hercules Paragon 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon (Western Cape)
Price
$20
A mingling of toasty oak and mocha on the nose lead into earthy flavors of mint and spice on this affordable Cabernet from South Africa. The warming spices and inviting touch of smoke make this a delicious choice for steak or grilled lamb.

Hercules Paragon 2002 Shiraz (Western Cape)
Price
$20
Truly a unique Shiraz, with its smoky, leathery and black olive aromas, followed by flavors of black cherry and spice. While appealing overall, it has a slightly syrupy, raisiny quality and some roughness on the palate that distracts slightly from the flavors. This is not really a problem for fans of wines that push the envelope a bit.
