Heron’s best Pinot ever, and look at that price. The wine is bone dry, crisply acidic and elegant, with silky layers of bitter cherryskin, tobacco and cola. A lovely Pinot at a great price.

A nice Sauvignon Blanc, easy to drink with almost anything calling for a crisp, off-dry white wine. It’s clean and citrusy, with a brisk cut of refreshing acidity.

Blended from Mendocino, Clarksburg (Delta) and Pope Valley fruit, this easy-drinking Cab is very ripe in blackberries and cherries, but also shows a good structure of tannins and acids. The alcohol is refreshingly low. A good price for a wine so satisfying.

A simple, straightforward Cab. It shows herb and green pepper amid clove and currant and it’s low enough in alcohol not to mess you up. A perfectly fine everyday wine.

A great value in Chard at this price for its ripe, upfront flavors of pineapples and pears, creamy smooth texture and spicy finish. There’s a lot of oak, too.

In France, this would be a vin de pays. It’s a simple little country wine, dry and bracing, with good cherry-berry flavors and a rich earthiness. It’ll be fine with a grilled flank steak you might even find yourself reaching for a third glass.

On the rough and ready side, but this is a good price for an oaky, creamy, fruity Chard of this caliber. It’s rich in peaches and cream, tropical fruit and buttered toast flavors.

This is a balanced Cabernet with plenty of true varietal character. The blackberry and cherry flavors are enriched with an edge of smoky oak, and the wine shows smooth polished tannins and a thoroughly dry finish.
