Ikal 1150 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon (Tupungato)
Price
$20
Dark, oily and masculine up front, with aromas of black fruit and no overt sweetness. Definitely not a candied wine; the flavors of black cherry, raspberry and dark plum are solid almost to the point of being shrill. Still, some chocolate is folded in to offset the driving berry element. A firm, structured wine with good components.

Ikal 1150 2007 Malbec (Tupungato)
Price
$20
A little rough on the nose, but under the crusty cover there are scents of warm berries and plum. The palate is sort of narrow and bouncy, while the flavor profile is based on rubbery berry fruit and a pinch of herbs. More of a tight, driving wine than anything lush and plentiful.

Ikal 1150 2007 Chardonnay (Tupungato)
Online Exclusive
Price
$20
Rather bland and done up with butterscotch and cream. And while those aromas indicate heft and richness, the wine is sort of flat and soft, with mealy apple and creamy fruit flavors. And then it finishes pithy and bitter. Not much definition or design. Expensive for what you get.
