Incognito 2005 Viognier (Lodi)

  • Editors' Choice
  1. $19
Easy to like for its fruity, flowery flavors and crisp acidity, this wine has extra layers of complexity. It feels as rich as honey in the mouth, yet is fundamentally dry. Nice with poultry, veal or fish with a fruity salsa topping.  — S.H.  (10/1/2006)

Incognito 2009 White Wine Blend (Lodi)

  1. $18
Michael David makes this white wine, a blend of mostly Viognier and Chardonnay, with smaller amounts of Malvasia Bianca, Roussanne, Sauvignon Blanc and Symphony, steel-tank fermented and aged, a deliciously bright and perfumed, light-drinking, golden wine with a tropical fruit nose and ripe peach and melon as it goes down.  — V.B.  (6/1/2011)

Incognito 2006 Viognier (Lodi)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $19
rich, very exotic, decadently drinkable, like an entire fruit store in a glass. Peaches, pears, pineapples, nectarines, mangoes, papayas, they flood the palate, with just enough acidity for balance, and a honeyed finish. Made with a dash of Roussanne and Marsanne.  — S.H.  (10/1/2007)

Incognito 2009 Red (Lodi)

  1. $18
This vintage’s blend is 50% Syrah, 25% Cinsault and smaller percentages of other varieties. It’s an oaky, cedar-tinged, gamy red that’s big in the mouth, dense and tannic with Michael David’s smoky signature.  — V.B.  (12/31/2011)

Incognito 2006 Pink Wine Rosé (Lodi)

  • Online Exclusive
  1. $20
This enjoyable wine actually is pink in color. A blend of Cinsault, Grenache and Mourvèdre, it’s rich in raspberry essence, vanilla and cinnamon, with a very long, fruity finish. Delicately structured and light in body, it will be great with a bouillabaisse-style fish stew, or little mushroom-filled puff pastries.  — S.H.  (7/1/2007)

Incognito 2008 Red (Lodi)

  1. $18
Michael David’s big, juicy, crowd-pleasing red blend, with minority amounts of Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault, Tannat, Souzou, Cab Franc, Mourvèdre and Petite Sirah, was aged in French oak for over three years. Soft and ready to drink now, with a touch of sweet cherry cola.  — V.B.  (8/1/2011)

Incognito 2004 Red Wine (Lodi)

  1. $19
A blend of eight varietals, kind of a Rhône-Bordeaux blend, this red shows a true Lodi typicity. It’s soft in acids and tannins, and just luscious, with a milk chocolate edge to the blueberry, blackberry, cherry, pomegranate and coffee flavors, and there’s a rich sweetness on the finish.  — S.H.  (12/15/2006)

Incognito 2010 White (Lodi)

  1. $18
A relatively small-production offering from Michael David at 3,600 cases, this white wine blend is quaffable, full-bodied and slightly sweet.  — V.B.  (11/1/2011)
