Inman Family 2007 Olivet Grange Vineyard Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley)
Cellar Selection
Online Exclusive
Price
$56
An interesting, complex wine that merits some time in the cellar. With low alcohol, it’s dry and silky, highlighted by brisk acidity and dusty tannins. But most compelling are the flavors, which range from fruity sour cherries and pomegranates to mushrooms, tea, cola and sweet herbs. Oak adds the perfect touch of sweet toast. Should develop gracefully through 2015…

Inman Family 2007 Thorn Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley)

Price
$56
There’s a very good wine in here, with bright acidity, smooth tannins and complex flavors of raspberries, cherries and cola. Yet there’s also a strange metallic taste that makes you wonder about the screwcap. It could just be the high acidity combined with minerality. Give it a good long decant before drinking.

Inman Family 2002 Pinot Gris (Russian River Valley)
Price
$24
A lovely wine, partially barrel fermented and quite rich. Bursts forth with flavors of citrus, pear and peach in a custardy texture that is dry but feels honey-sweet. Represents a higher class of Pinot Gris in California, with appropriate pricing. Only 70 cases produced.

Inman Family 2010 Endless Crush Rosé of Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley)
Online Exclusive
Price
$32
Dryness and acidity mark this orange-colored Pinot Noir. It shows strong flavors of raspberries, strawberries and tangerine zest. Needs salty, umami-style foods, like bacon, sausage, ham, salted nuts, olives.

Inman Family 2007 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley)

Price

Sharp and minty, with modest red cherry and cola flavors. The thinness of fruit accentuates the tannins and acids. Nice and dry, but lacks generosity for a pricey Pinot Noir.
